  • Joanne Williams B.E. (Hons) Chem (Adelaide University)
    Deputy Managing Director

    Joanne has 13 years experience in the upstream oil and gas industry where she has held positions in the areas of offshore production operations and management, reservoir engineering, hands-on FPSO operations, field appraisal and development planning, mergers and acquisitions, corporate and business development. Joanne has extensive expertise in identifying and realising marginal field opportunities as well as optimisation and extension of late life field production. Joanne's experience includes positions with upstream and gas operating companies including Crusader Resources, Clyde Resources, Gulf Australia, Newfield Exploration and Woodside Petroleum.

    She is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE).

     
  • Jonathan Pattillo Head of Exploration

    Mr Jon Pattillo is the new Head of Exploration at Nido Petroleum Limited (Nido). Mr Pattillo is a senior petroleum executive with over 26 years experience in the oil and gas industry and a proven track record of delivering and creating value through organic growth and new business development projects.

    Mr Pattillo was previously International General Manager Business Development with Oil Search Limited and was responsible for building a high quality, balanced portfolio of exploration assets in the Middle East.

    Mr Pattillo also held senior exploration positions with BHP Petroleum Pty Ltd, Bridge Oil Pty Ltd, Enterprise Oil Exploration Limited and Phillips Petroleum.

    Mr Pattillo’s expertise and leadership will allow Nido to fully capitalise on its exploration assets and prepare for a multi-well exploration drilling programme as part of its upcoming Service Contract commitments. Mr Pattillo’s particular balance of skills in the areas of new business development and exploration operations in South East Asia, the Timor Sea and Australia, as well as other parts of the world are perfectly aligned with Nido’s near-term goals.

     
  • Ashley Gilbert B.Comm, CA, A Fin
    Chief Financial Officer

    Ashley Gilbert image

    Ashley Gilbert joined Nido in 2006. As a Chartered Accountant with over 13 years experience in commerce and public practice, he has worked in the areas of auditing, taxation, business planning and financial management.

     

    Previous roles include senior finance positions within the exploration division of Woodside Energy Limited and as a finance analyst within their corporate Portfolio & Planning team.  Ashley also worked for GlaxoSmithKline plc in London and prior to this spent 7 years in public practice in taxation, auditing and business development roles.

     

    Ashley is responsible for managing Nido Petroleum’s financial and joint venture accounting matters in accordance with corporate, joint venture and statutory requirements.

  • Dominique Schelfhout Office Manager

    Dominique Schelfhout image

    Dominique is an experienced high level office manager with specialist knowledge of oil & gas, mining & resources and finance. Her expertise lies in project management, event coordination and leadership. She is a highly motivated and committed individual with excellent organisation and communication skills.

    Dominique has worked for the likes of OMV, Brown & Roote Services, Resolute Limited, Equity Finance and the WA Development Corporation relishing the challenges presented by each role. In her current position with Nido Petroleum she is kept busy managing the hard working team of individuals who have enjoyed so much success to date in an ever-changing industry.

     
  • Amanda Davies B.Sc. (Hons) Exploration Geophysics (Curtin University of Technology)
    Staff Geophysicist

    Amanda Davies image

    Amanda graduated in 2003 as Top Petroleum Student and with First Class Honours, having a thesis in anisotropy and petroacoustics and was the recipient of the Petroleum Exploration Society of Australia Elwood Horstman Award. She has worked for Troy Ikoda, Apache Energy, RPS Energy and Shell Development Australia.

    Amanda has knowledge in geophysical modelling techniques from log based studies, amplitude variation with offset (AVO) modelling and fluid predictions. She also has experience in a variety of geological mapping packages, seismic and geological data management and conversion issues.

    Amanda has active membership in the Australian Society of Exploration Geophysics (ASEG), the Society of Exploration Geophysics (SEG) and the Petroleum Exploration Society of Australia (PESA).

    Maria is a lawyer with over six years specialist experience advising clients in the energy, infrastructure and resources sectors. Before joining Nido in 2005, Maria was an Associate with Minter Ellison, a major law firm in Perth. Maria has experience advising in the areas of acquisitions, divestments, operations, risk management and regulatory compliance.

    Maria is admitted to practise in the Supreme Court of Western Australia and the High Court of Australia. She is a member of the Law Society of Western Australia, the Australian Corporate Lawyers Association and the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators. Maria also holds the position of Convenor of the Board of Management for the Centre for Advocacy, Support and Education for Refugees, Inc.

     
  • Latasha Kirton Paralegal & Legal Secretary

    Latasha Kirton has 10 years experience in the legal industry at paralegal and legal secretary level. She has worked in the areas of commercial property, commercial litigation, civil and criminal litigation, family, employment and media law.

     

    In her current role Latasha provides paralegal and secretarial support for Nido’s In-House Counsel, Company Secretary and Chief Financial Officer. Her work includes legal research, contract administration, drafting and maintaining consultancy agreements, ad hoc projects and general administration and secretarial support.

     

    Latasha has a Legal Executive Certificate from the New Zealand Law Society and has previously worked with Downings Legal in Perth, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer Solicitors in London and Adams & Horsley Solicitors in New Zealand.

     
  • Paul Quaife B.Sc. (Hons) Geology (Nottingham University, UK)

    Paul Quaife image

    Paul has over 20 years oil industry experience in the areas of exploration geology, field operations and business development. He has worked in Aberdeen, Melbourne and Perth on a variety of projects in the UK and Norwegian sectors of the North Sea, the NW Shelf, the Timor Sea, the Gulf of Mexico, West Africa, South-East Asia and the Perth Basin. His career includes nine years with BP and two years with Enterprise Oil. Prior to joining Nido Petroleum he spent seven years with Resource Management (Australia) Pty Ltd where he worked closely with a number of major and independent oil companies on a diverse range of international and domestic oil and gas projects.

    He is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG).

     
  • Andi Insandi Financial Analyst

    Andi Insandi has a degree in Master Science in Finance and a track record of success in acquisitions and divestitures with experience in corporate planning and long range planning.

     

    In his role as Financial Analyst Andi assesses commercial transactions to identify, evaluate and capture new business. He performs economic evaluations on prospects and maintains Nido’s business plan and budget. Andi also assists in the preparation of Nido’s financial statement.

     

    His previous roles include; Senior Manager Commercial and Business Development for Star Energy Jakarta and Project Economic Manager with ConocoPhillips Indonesia.

     
  • Stephen Morris B.S.c (Geology), Graduate Diploma (Petroleum Engineering)
    Senior Petroleum Engineer

    Stephen Morris image

    Stephen has ten years experience in the upstream oil and gas industry where he has held positions in the areas of offshore production operations and management, reservoir engineering, field appraisal and development planning.

    Stephen has extensive expertise in marginal field development, well testing and production optimization of late life field production. Stephen's experience includes positions with upstream oil and gas operating companies including Hardman Resources, Coogee Resources, Gulf Australia, Santos and Western Mining Corporation.

     
  • Wendy McNeice B.Sc Geology
    Technical Assistant

    Wendy McNeice image

    In her role as Technical Assistant Wendy McNeice supports the technical and operations teams at Nido Petroleum. Her duties include assisting technical personnel and the Information Management Officer along with participating in the HSSE team and supporting operations.

    Wendy recently graduated from Victoria University in Wellington New Zealand having completed papers in Exploration Geoscience, Structural Geology, Stratigraphy and Sedimentary Geology.

     

    She previously worked as an Assistant Geologist at Geosphere Ltd and a Mud Logger at Baker Hughes Inteq.

     
  • Yvonne Broome Administration

    Yvonne Broome image

    Yvonne has a range of duties in the Nido office; working as a receptionist, switchboard operator and administrative assistant.

    Yvonne has worked for a number of large WA companies including WorkCover, the Department of Employment and Consumer Protection, Western Power and Main Roads amongst many others.

     

    She brings to Nido extensive experience in seminar organisation, general clerical duties and telephone surveying. Yvonne is adept at time-keeping, works well under pressure and is a reliable and enthusiastic member of the Nido team.

    Accountant

    Leo So image

    Leo So prepares and maintains all accounting functions of Nido Petroleum in compliance with corporate, legislative and statutory requirements while ensuring that processes and procedures are adhered to.

    Leo brings to Nido a wealth of experience in his field having studied at CPA Australia, the Australian Institute of Management, National Tax & Accountants Association Ltd and Curtin University of Technology.

     

    Leo has worked with Rolls-Royce Marine Australia Pty Ltd and S2M2 Pty Ltd. He has four years experience with the Sybiz Vision Accounting System and is familiar with MYOB Accounting systems and Retail Touch Point of Sales systems.

     
  • Claire Day Personal Assistant to the Deputy Managing Director

    Claire Day image

    Claire has a busy role in the office as Personal Assistant to Joanne Williams as well as providing secretarial support to Jon Pattillo and his team, she coordinates travel arrangements and meetings, assists with putting together reports and other important documents.

    Claire has worked for a number of large WA companies including Sinclair Knight Merz, RugbyWA, Ernst & Young and Gerard Daniels Australia.

    She brings to the Nido team a wealth of administration experience. Claire is a true professional, capable of liaising with high level executives, she is cool under pressure and has no problems with meeting deadlines. This high achiever is well organised, diligent in her duties and shows exceptional communication skills.

     

     
  • Patrick Sullivan B Sc. Geology/ Geography (Victoria University, New Zealand)
    Technical Assistant

    Patrick Sullivan image

    As a Technical Assistant, Patrick supports the technical operations team acquiring seismic data for Nido’s significant exploration acreage in the Palawan Basin.

     

    Patrick’s duties include assisting technical personnel and the Information Management Officer along with participating in the HSSE team and supporting operations.

    Patrick graduated from Victoria University in Wellington, New Zealand in February 2007 with a double major in Geology and Geography.

     
  • Valerina Misic Accountant

    Valerina prepares and maintains all accounting functions of Nido Petroleum in compliance with corporate, legislative and statutory requirements while ensuring that processes and procedures are adhered to.

     

    Valerina has most recently worked with Craig Care, St John of God, Dept. of Indigenous Affairs and Rheochem.

    Financial Controller

    Jani Surjan image

    Jani has 13 years experience in the accounting field, having worked in the areas of taxation, auditing and finance management.

     

    In his role as Financial Controller, Jani is responsible for managing Nido Petroleum Limited's corporate financial matters and general accounting function, in compliance with internal and external statutory requirements.

     

    Jani has previously worked at Craigcare Group, St. John of God Healthcare and Haines Norton in Perth. He is a professional member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Taxation Institute of Australia.
