    Leonardo has 34 years experience in the Philippine energy and environmental sector and was part of the pioneer geoscientific team involved in the drilling of the first two Philippine offshore wells located at Northwest Palawan.

    He has experience with Mobil Oil Exploration, Oriental Petroleum and Minerals, Sun Oil, Triton Oil and Gas, and the Philippine National Oil Company (PNOC) Exploration and later with PNOC Energy Development Corporation (PNOC-EDC) in geothermal development. During his time with PNOC-EDC Leonardo was General Manager of the Geothermal Division and was responsible for drilling operations, engineering, geoscientific investigations and geothermal plant operations. He retired from PNOC as Vice-President, having been responsible for the four major divisions of Environmental and External Relations, Operation Services, Drilling and Marketing.

    Andrew Mattin is now Vice President – Production and manages production engineering in the exciting new Galoc Oil Field development. It is the first offshore development in the Philippines for seven years and Andrew will use his vast experience in oil and gas production to oversee the success of this project

     

    Andrew has over 13 years industry experience in the exploration, development and production of oil and gas. He spent 10 years with Woodside Energy working in a range of operational and petroleum engineering areas of onshore and offshore projects on the North-West Shelf and in the Timor Sea.

     

    He has also worked for Tap Oil, Antares Energy (formerly Amity Oil), RISC and Strike Oil undertaking assignments in Australia, New Zealand, Turkey, the UK and the USA.

     

    Andrew is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and the Petroleum Exploration Society of Australia (PESA).

     
  • Anthony P. Ferrer B.Sc. Geology (University of the Philippines)

    Anthony has 26 years experience in the Philippines energy and mining sectors. He has significant expertise in the operations geology which contrasts well with the number of technical publications he has had published. He commenced working in the oil industry with the Philippine National Oil Company (PNOC) and has had a successful consulting business for most of his career. He has worked for the National Science Development Board as a remote sensing technology analyst, and also for the National Resources Management Centre, Ran Rick/Far East Resources, Anderman Smith, Australian Worldwide Exploration (AWE), and several mining companies in the Philippines. Since 1998 he has held the position of Vice President for Operations and Chief Operating Officer for Cybersoft Integrated Geoinformatics, Inc.

    He is a member of Geological Society of the Philippines (GSP) and the Association of Filipinos for the Advancement of Geoscience (AFAG).

    Bert has over 29 years experience in the Philippines Petroleum industry. He started in 1976 with a stint at the then Ministry of Energy's Bureau of Energy Development of the Ministry of Energy where he served as a Petroleum Engineer. From 1981 Bert worked for Philippines National Oil Company Exploration Corporation (PNOC-EC) as a petroleum engineer and later as a drilling superintendent. He then worked for EXLOG, a well-logging company, for 4-years as a pressure and logging engineer assigned to client companies such as Occidental, Philips, Amoco, BP etc...

    In 1989 Bert rejoined PNOC as drilling superintendent and was subsequently promoted to Engineering Manager. While at PNOC-EC, he supervised the drilling and testing of PNOC offshore and onshore wells, supervised the operation of gas power plants, developed feasibility options for marginal natural gas and was technical representative for the company on other joint venture operations.

    Bert is a graduate Mining Engineer from the University of the Philippines and topped the Mining Engineering Licensure examination given in 1976. He is the current chair of the Philippines Society of Petroleum Engineers.

    Mon has 20 years of oil and gas industry experience as a petroleum geologist, geophysicist and project and asset manager.  He started his career in 1982 as an exploration and mining geologist for the state-owned Philippine National Oil Company (PNOC) Coal Corp.  He subsequently moved to PNOC’s oil and gas subsidiary, PNOC Exploration Corp. in 1987 where he started out as a processing and interpretation geophysicist, then becoming a petroleum explorationist, and eventually being assigned as PNOC EC’s Production and Gas Manager in 2003 until his early retirement from the company in early 2006.  As a senior explorationist, he was involved in the evaluation of several onshore and offshore E & P opportunities in the Philippines and overseas.  During his last stint with PNOC EC, he also served as its asset manager and project liaison for the Malampaya Deep-Water Gas to Power Project and as project manager for its suspended Batangas-Manila Natural Gas Transmission Pipeline Project. 

     

    Mon has attended various specialized technical and management training courses in the Philippines and overseas and is a member of Geological Society of the Philippines (GSP), the Association of Filipinos for the Advancement of Geoscience (AFAG) and the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG).

     
  • Ma. Cecilia Diaz de Rivera BSBA (University of Philippines in the Visayas), MBA (De La Salle University), Teacher Certificate Program (De La Salle University)

    As Finance Consultant for Nido since June 2006, Cecille has been responsible for coordinating and analysing financial reports for the Galoc, Matinloc and Nido oil fields at Service Contract 14. She also coordinates compliance requirements at Nido’s other service contracts 54, 58 and 63.

     

    Cecille has 19 years experience in energy projects monitoring and reporting,  finance and, accounting fields, including her 15-year employment at PNOC EDC. She is a member of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She has a Master of Business Administration from De La Salle University. Cecille has most recently taught accounting and finance at De La Salle University-College of Saint Benilde and Asia Pacific College which helped developed her  human relations and leadership skills.

     

     
  • Jennilyn Reboron B Sc. in Accounting (Central Luzon State University)
    In-House Accountant

    Jennilyn has been in her role as In-house Accountant at Nido Petroleum since September 2006.  She has ten years experience in accounting and has worked for a number of prominent Philippines corporations.

     

    At Nido, she undertakes the day to day accounting transactions at the Makati City offices. Jennilyn is responsible for preparing the PhilloDrill monthly reports for head office and maintaining the asset registry database. Jennilyn has previously worked at Trakka Philippines and Lumague & Associates.

     
  • Gema Capati B Sc. in Computer Science (AMA Computer College)
    Administrative/ Technical Assistant

    Gema has eleven years experience in the administration and secretarial field, working for both government and private corporations, where her specialist areas are in energy development and environmental management. She has been at Nido’s Philippines office since March 2006 as Administrative/ Technical Assistant.

     

    Gema is highly skilled in administration, having previously worked at PNOC EDC for ten years, where she was Department Secretary for the Environmental Field Operation Department. She brings with her experience in events coordination and clerical and computer duties. Her excellent organisation skills along with her developed written and oral communication skills make her a valuable asset to the Nido team.
